Biznext bureau: Counting of votes for Karnataka Assembly elections has continued and as per the latest trends, the Congress party is leading towards the magic number, while the Janata Dal (Secular) or JDS is also cementing its role as the kingmaker.

10 am : According to the trends by 10 am, the Congress Party is leading in 107 seats, while the BJP is leading in 86 seats and the JDS is leading in 27 seats.
BY Vijayendra, son of former chief minister BS Yediyurappa, is leading in Shikaripura assembly constituency, as per early trends. Shikaripura is known to be a bastion of the Lingayat community.
