India’s total cases rise to 1.06 lakh, recovery rate rises to 40%

Bhubaneswar: With more than 5 thousand new confirmed cases India’s total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 1.06 lakh till Wedneday morning. However, the country has maintained its steady growth in the recovery rate which now stands almost at 40 per cent.

As per the latest data released by the Health Ministry, India’s total cases rose to 106750 by Wednesday morning. The total number includes 61149 active cases and 3303 deaths while 42297 people have been recovered from the deadly infection and one person has migrated.

With 3124 recoveries in the last 24 hours, India’s recovery rate has improved sharply to 39.6 per cent. Meanwhile the country has reported 140 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 3303. With this the country’s death rate has declined marginally to 3.09 per cent.
