New Delhi: For the second straight day India has reported over 4 lakh cases and nearly 4000 deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the country has reported yet another record daily spike of 4,14,188 new cases at a positivity rate of 22.6 per cent. With this, India’s COVID-19 tally has risen to 2,14,91,598 including 36,45,164 active cases.
The country has also reported 3915 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 234083. Meanwhile, as many as 3.31 lakh people have recovered in the last 24 hours taking total number of recoveries to 1.76 crore.
29,86,01,699 samples were tested for COVID19 up to 6th May 2021. Of these 18,26,490 samples were tested yesterday said Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
