New Delhi: India has reported 35 thousand new cases and less than 500 deaths in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said.
According to the data released by the ministry, the country has reported 35,342 fresh cases and 483 deaths in the last 24-hours. As many as 38,740 infected people have recovered from the infection during the period. With this India’s covid-19 tally and death toll have risen to 3.12 crore and 4,19,470 respectively.
India’s active cases also dipped to 4,05,513 which implies lesser load on the country’s medical infrastructure.
India gave 54.76 lakh doses of vaccine on July 22. With this India’s total vaccination count has increased to 42.34 crore, the highest in the world (except China).
