HCL completes acquisition of Australia’s DWS Group

Melbourne: HCL Technologies, (HCL), India’s 3rd largest IT services company by market capitalization on Tuesday said that it has completed the acquisition of DWS Limited (ASX: DWS), a leading Australian IT, business and management consulting group effective 5th January.

The shares of HCL Technologies (HCLTECH) were at Rs. 976.70, dropped by 0.38% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 10 am.

DWS, with about 700 employees and offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Canberra, delivers business and technology innovation to large clients across a spectrum of verticals.

In September 2020, HCL had announced the acquisition of DWS for a undisclosed amount.

The DWS Group, with FY20 revenue at A$ 167.9 million, provides a wide range of IT services including Digital Transformation, Application development & support, Program & Project Management and Consulting. The acquisition of DWS will strongly enhance HCL’s contribution to Digital initiatives in Australia and New Zealand while strengthening HCL’s client portfolio across key industries.
