NewDelhi : In vew of the issues raised by states like Punjab, Tamilnadu, Delhi and Puduchery on IGST settlement, the GST Council has constituted a Group of Ministers (GoM) to examine the issue of IGST settlement. The GoM will study in detail the IGST settlement till 31st March 2018.
The GoM will have union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as the convener and Finance Ministers of Odisha, Punjab, Bihar, Delhi, Chattishgarh, Tamilnadu and Puduchery as members.
“The GoM would examine the status of amount of IGST remaining un-apportioned as on 31stMarch 2018 as per the extant legal provisions and what action is required to be taken at this stage” an office memorandum of the GST council said.
