Biznextindia : A good news for the Kantara fans. A prequel to the 2022 blockbuster, ‘Kantara: Chapter-1’ will be officially announced by Hombale films on 27th of November at 12.25 pm with a Mahurat ceremony and unveiling of a first look of the movie.
“RishabShetty stars and directs the film, which will be a prequel to Kantara. KantaraChapter1 will release in seven languages this time: Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and English. VijayKiragandur produces the film” twitted film business analyst Taran Adarsh.

Kantara is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language action thriller film written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, under Hombale Films. The film stars Rishab Shetty in a dual role with Kambala champion who is at loggerheads with an upright forest officer, Murali (played by Kishore).
The film is set and filmed in Keradi in coastal Karnataka, and explores themes of nature, tradition, and the conflict between modernity and tradition. Kantara was released to critical acclaim and was a commercial success, grossing over ₹500 crore at the worldwide box office. The film was praised for its performances, action sequences, and visual effects.
