#COVID-19 : India’s total cases near 30,000 mark, recovery rate rises to 23%

Bhubaneswar: Despite the lockdown, the Coronavirus pandemic has continued to wreak havoc in the country as the total number of cases near the 30 thousand mark.

According to the latest figures released by the Ministry of Health, India’s total number of cases has increased to 29,435 which include 21632 active cases and 934 deaths.

Meanwhile, as many as 6868 patients have been successfully treated and discharged from the hospitals while one person has migrated from the country.

With the rising number of recoveries, India’s recovery rate has increased to 23.3%, while the death rate has remained flat at 3%.

Meanwhile, Global Coronavirus cases have crossed the 3 million mark on Tuesday. According to the latest data by the John Hopkins University, the total number of registered cases in the world has increased to 3,041,517 as on Tuesday morning. While the death toll has crossed the 2 lakh mark,   the number of recoveries has increased to 8.93 lakh indicating a recovery rate of 29%.
