Box Office: Gold may end week with Rs.70 Cr , Satyameva Jayate loses momentum

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar Starrer periodic sports drama Gold has continued its upward momentum collecting Rs.55 Crore in the first 4 days, according to Bollywood business portal boxofficeindia.com. The movie, which was released on the Independence Day, has collected impressive Rs.25 Crore in the opening day, but the collection drop significantly on Thursday to Rs. 8 Crore. But the movie gained momentum in the Friday and Saturday collecting Rs. 10 Crore and Rs.12 Crore respectively taking its total collection to Rs. 55 Crore. With a better collection expected in Sunday, the movie may end the extended weekend with about Rs.68-70 Crore.

Satyameva Jayate, on the other hand has witnessed continuous drop in collection after a splendid first day collection of Rs, 18 Crore. But, due to its weak script the movie lost its momentum in the following days. The John Abraham, Manoj Vajpayee starrer movie has so far collected Rs.40.75 Crore.
