Benchmark indices continue Budget Rally, Sensex up 734 points, Nifty opens above 14,500

Mumbai : Indian benchmark indices continued the rally after yesterday’s Budget with Nifty opens above 14,500.

At 09:16 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 734.26 points or 1.51% at 49334.87, and the NSE Nifty was up 220.70 points or 1.55% at 14501.90. About 1027 shares have advanced, 171 shares declined, and 46 shares are unchanged.

Yesterday, both Sensex and Nifty welcomed the Budget with historic gains. While Sensex closed with a gain of 2314.84 points at 48600.61 points, Nifty closed at a gain of 646.61 points at 14281 points.
