New Delhi: Counting of Votes for Assembly polls in four states, regarded as semi-final for the 2024 General Election, is underway. After three and half hours into the counting, the BJP is comfortably leading in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while the Congress has zoomed ahead in Telangana, and the two parties are neck and neck in Chhattisgarh.

In Madhya Pradesh, a state anticipated for a tight race in the Exit Polls, the BJP holds a distinct advantage. The party has surged far ahead of the Congress in the trends so far.

However, the trends in Rajasthan align with the anticipated BJP triumph as projected by exit polls. The BJP maintains a significant lead over the incumbent Congress, potentially continuing the state’s pattern of not granting a party a second term, as the final result suggests.

In Telangana, the Congress is optimistic about the ongoing trends. The party holds a substantial lead over the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, which has governed the state since its establishment in 2014.

Initially leaning towards the Congress, Chhattisgarh has now transformed into a closely contested battleground, as the BJP slowly leading ahead of the Congress.
