Activities in Bhubaneswar to remain restricted as Odisha classified it as Red Zone

Bhubaneswar:  Several activities in Bhubaneswar to remain restricted as the Government of Odisha on Sunday included the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the Red Zone category. However, the Khordha district has been put under orange category.

Odisha has already three districts Bhadrak, jajpur and Balasore categorized as red zone. On the other hand, 11 districts of the state are categorised as orange zone, 16 districts have been kept under green zone category.

For the week starting May 4, the districts/municipal corporations are classified as follows based on the guidelines formulated by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, wrote PK Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary in a letter to Collectors and Municipal commissioners.

The letter further mentioned if any district in green category reports a positive case in future; it will be treated as orange.

Meanwhile, activities like Air & Rail travel, public transport, School & Collages, inter-state travel, Shopping Malls, Theatres to remain closed in the state irrespective of the zone.
