73% of Odisha’s active cases come from three red zone districts

Bhubaneswar: Two more cases have been reported from Jajpur district taking the tally to 156 in Odisha.

According to the information provided by the Information & public relations department, two males of Age 48 and 54 have been tested positive with Coronavirus.  Both have travel history to Kolkata.

The district had reported 5 cases in the morning including two females. With seven new cases today Jajpur has now become the worst affected district with 46 active cases, while one person has recovered. Interestingly, almost all the infected people in the district have West Bengal links.

 

Jajpur is one of the three districts marked as red zone districts in Odisha. The other two districts are Balasore and Bhadrak. These three districts now account for more than half of Odisha’s 156 cases.

Out of Odisha’s 156 cases, 100 are active cases and 55 people have recovered. Also out of the 100 active cases, 73 cases or 73% come from these three red zone districts.
