3.86 lakh new COVID19 cases, 3498 new deaths in the last 24-hours, Death per million rises to 150

New Delhi: India’s daily COVID-19 cases slowly approaching towards the 4 lakh mark as the country reported yet another record spike of 3.84 lakh new cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released by Union Health ministry, the country reported 3.86 lakh new cases and 3498 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this India’s tally has peaked to 1.87 crore.

Meanwhile, with 3498 deaths the death toll has increased to 208330 and death per million population has risen to 150 in India.

Among the states Goa has the highest case positivity rate of 51 per cent followed by Delhi with 32.82 per cent, West Bengal with 32.39 per cent and Haryana with 28.64 per cent. The positivity rate of Maharastra, the worst affected state stands at 22.95 per cent.

Meanwhile, as many as 297,540 patients recovered yesterday and total number of recoveries has increased to 1,53,84,418.
