Rungta Mines to invest Rs.1926 Cr for a 34 MTPA Beneficiation plant, 20 MTPA underground Slury pipeline project in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday cleared 4 investment proposals of cumulative value Rs. 2172.92 crore including two proposals of Rungta Mines. The investment proposals were cleared at the 93rd State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy .

Rungta Mines Limited has proposed to set up a 34 MTPA beneficiation plant at either Bonai or at Champua. The project will be set up in two phases, with an investment of Rs 975 crore and will create job opportunities for about 290 people. The company will also be setting up 20 MTPA underground slurry pipe line from its proposed beneficiation plant at Bonai/ Champua to 3 different locations. The project would be set up with an investment of Rs 951 crore, which would provide employment opportunities for 72 people.

Meanwhile, Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has proposed for expansion of its Pellet Plant from 0.3 MTPA to 1.2 MTPA capacity with a total investment of Rs 76.92 crore. It would create additional employment for 610 people.

The proposal of Wellman Steels Gangeya Supply Agency Private Limited for setting up 1.8 MTPA beneficiation plant and 1.2 MTPA Pellet Plant, with an investment of Rs. 170 crore, got nod at the meeting. It will provide additional employment opportunities for 150 people.
