Odisha mining auction: Pattnaik Minerals bags Mahulsukha Iron & Manganese Ore mines

Bhubaneswar: Pattnaik Minerals has bagged the Mahulsukha Iron Ore & Manganese mines at a premium of 92.70%. The mining block located in Sundergarh District, is currently held by Aryan Mining & Trading Company (AMTC).
Apart from Pattnaik Minerals six other players like LTA, GV Mines, Freegrade, Yazdani, TP Sao and Shyam Ore were in the final race for the composite block with an estimated reserve of 32.81 MT (iron ore) and 0.771 MT (manganese).
This is the 9th mines in the list of total 19 mines that are being auctioned by the Odisha government. Out of these 9 mines JSW has bagged 4 mines, Arcelor-Mittal, Shyam Ore, Sirajuddin & Co and now TP Sao have got one block each.
On Friday Khatua Norbheram had bagged the Roida-II Iron Ore mines at a premium of 90.90 percent.
Spread over 399 hectres including 201 mineralised area, Mahulsukha mines has estimated reserve of 32.81 MT Iron Ore and 0.77 MT Manganese Ore. The Lump to Fines ratio of Iron Ore is 38.22: 61.78. The Iron Ore block has G1 (Detailed exploration) and G2 (Generalized exploration) status as per the United Nations Framework Classification (UNFC).
The winner will have to obtain Forest, Environmental and other statutory and regulatory clearances after award of the mining lease.
