Odisha issues NIT for auction of Teherai Iron Ore & Manganese mines for the 3rd time in 6 months
Bhubaneswar : The Odisha government has issued otice Inviting Tender (NIT) for auction of 3 mineral blocks under the electronic auction mode.
The 3 mineral blocks are Teherai Iron Ore and Manganese block, Behera-Banjipali Limestone block and Naringapanga Graphite block. Out of these three blocks, the Teherai block is a being auctioned following expiry of previous mining lease. The other two blocks are virgin blocks.
While, the price of tender document for Teherai mines is 5 lakh, the price of tender document for the other two blocks is Rs. 2 lakh each. Last date for procurement of tender document is February 2, 2022 and the last date for submission of bid is February 7,2022.
The state government also issued NITs for these three blocks in October. This is for the 3rd time, the Teherai Iron Ore & Manganese block is being put for auction. Earlier, NITs were issued for the auction of this mine in July and October 2021. Behera-Banjipali Limestone block and Naringapanga Graphite block were put for auction in October 2021 also.
