Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has issued Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for auction of 6 mineral blocks in the state. The 6 blocks include 1 Iron Ore & Manganese mines, 4 Limestone blocks and 1 Graphite block.
The Iron & Manganese block to be auctioned is Teherai, which is being auctioned under second attempt. Tarama Apartment Private Limited is debarred from participating in the auction of this particular block.
The four Limestone blocks to be auctioned are Piplamunda, Garramura, Uskalvagu and Behera-Banjipalli block. The only Graphite block being auctioned is Naringpanga Graphite block.
The auction will be held on electronic mode. The Odisha department of Steel and Mines has invited the financial bid in digital format only while the Technical bid has been invited through both digital and physical format.
The last date for purchase of Tender document is November 29 and the last date for submission of the bid is 15 hours, December 6, 2021.
The price of Tender document for each mineral block except Teherai block is Rs. 2 lakh. For the Teherai block the Tender document price is Rs. 5 lakh.
Last July, the state government had issued Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for auction of 11 mineral blocks including 7 Iron Ore mines, 2 Iron Ore & Manganese mines, 1 Iron Ore & Dolomite block and 1 Bauxite block.
