NMDC October Iron Ore production up 33% against September

Biznext India : Public sector mining giant NMDC has reported  2.4 per cent drop in its October Iron Ore production at 2.43 million tonnes (MT) against 2.49 million tonnes in October 2019.

However, on month on month basis, the company’s Iron Ore output has registered a significant growth of 33 per cent, against the September output of 1.83 MT.

Out of the 2.43 MT Iron Ore production, Chhattisgarh has contributed 1.82 MT and Karnataka has contributed 0.61 MT.

NMDC’s October Iron Ore Sales has also dropped by 3.4 per cent to 2.52 MT from 2.61 MT in October 2019.

Meanwhile, NMDC’s cumulative Iron Ore production has dropped by 8 per cent to 14.66 MT in the April-October period from 15.95MT during the corresponding period of 2019-20. Cumulative sales during the 7 months have also declined to 15.43 MT from 17.14 MT during the corresponding 7 months of 2019-20.

For the quarter ended September, NMDC’s Iron Ore production grew by 6.5 per cent to 5.63 MT from 5.29 MT during the corresponding quarter last year. Sales also grew by 11.5 per cent to 6.50 MT from 5.83 MT during the corresponding quarter last year.
