Bhubaneswar: Continuing its aggressive bidding at the Odisha mining auction, JSW Steel has bagged it’s fourth Iron Ore on Thursday.
The Sajjan Jindal owned firm has won the Jajang Iron Ore block in Keonjhar district by committing to pay 110 per cent of sale value of the ore to the state government.
Earlier, the Sajjan Jindal company bagged Nuagaon, Narayanpashi and Gonua Iron Ore blocks with total estimated reserves of about 1100 million tonnes. While Nuagaon has 790 million tonnes of Iron Ore reserve, Narayanposhi has 190 million tonnes and Gonua has 118 million tonnes of Iron Ore reserve.
These mines would ensure raw material security to JSW’s upcoming 12 MTPA integrated steel project near Paradip, Odisha.
