New Delhi: Maruti-Suzuki, India’s largest seller of passenger vehicles, on Thursday announced that it’ll go for a price hike across all its models in January 2022. The company has attributed the planned price hike to rise in various input costs.

“Over the past year, the cost of company’s vehicles continue to be adversely impacted due to increase in various input costs. Therefore, it has become imperative for the Company to pass on some impact of the above additional costs to customers through a price hike. The price rise has been planned in January, 2022. The increase shall vary for different models” the company said in a regulatory filing.

Last September, the company had also hiked prices of selected models due to rise in input costs.

Two days back, the company has hiked the price of ECCO (non-cargo variants) by Rs.8000 owing to introduction of Passenger Airbag.
