Bajaj Auto September sales dip 9% on lower domestic sales

Biznext india : Bajaj Auto, India’s largest seller of three-wheeler vehicles and second largest seller of two-wheeler vehicles, on Friday reported 9 percent drop in its September’21 sales at 402,021 units against 441,306 units in September’20.

In the April-September 6 months, Bajaj has reported 44 percent rise in sales at 21,50,421 units as against 1,496,440 units during the corresponding 6 months of FY 21. Domestic sales grew by 16 percent to 889,353 units and Exports grew by 72 percent to 1,261,068 units.

The company’s overall, domestic sales in September dipped by 16 percent to 192,348 and exports dipped marginally by 1 percent to surpass 209,673 units.

The company has registered 11 per cent slump in two-wheeler sales at 361,036 units as against 404,851 units in September 20 . Domestic two-wheeler sales dipped by 21 per cent to 173,945 units, while exports up 1 percent to 185,351 units.

Bajaj Auto’s overall commercial vehicle sales grew by 12 percent percent to 40985 units. While, domestic CV sales grew by 99 percent to 18403 units, exports slipped by 17 percent to 22,582 units. Bajaj’s range of commercial vehicles are mostly comprises of three-wheeler vehicles like auto rickshaws, light pick-ups.
