Bajaj Auto maintains positive sales growth in November despite 38% fall in Commercial Vehicle Sales

Biznextindia :  Despite  66 per cent drop in its domestic commercial vehicle sales, Bajaj Auto has maintained positive growth in its overall sales mainly due to impressive export shipments.

The company has reported 5 per cent sales growth in November at 422240 units, against 403223 units in November 2019.

The automobile major has witnessed an impressive sales growth of 12 per cent at 3.84 lakh units in the two-wheeler segment including 7 per cent growth in the domestic market and 18 growth in exports.

However, the commercial vehicle segment has remained in the negative zone. The company’s commercial vehicle sales during the month has dropped by 38 per cent to 37,247 units due to a significant fall in domestic sales. The company’s domestic commercial vehicle sales has dropped by 66 per cent to 10737 units from 31,438 units in November 2019. Export of commercial vehicles has also dropped by 6 per cent 26510 units.
