NewDelhi : A day ahead of the Union Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha on Friday. Authored by a team led by Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran, the report offers an analysis of the economy’s performance during the current financial year and provides projections for the next. As per the Economic Survey 2024-25, India’s GDP is expected to grow between 6.3% and 6.8% in the financial year 2025-26, aligning with the official first advance estimate of 6.4%.
The government has implemented various Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models, including Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), and Toll-Operate-Transfer (TOT). Additionally, initiatives like the National Infrastructure Pipeline and National Monetisation Pipeline have been established to encourage private sector participation. However, the success of these efforts hinges on the widespread acceptance and integration of PPPs in infrastructure development nationwide.
