Maruti Suzuki passenger vehicles sales decline 13% in May  

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), India’s top seller of passenger vehicles, sold a total of 180,077 units. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 138,690 units, sales to other OEM of 10,168 units and exports of 31,219 units.

The company’s sales of mini and compact segment declined to 68,278 in May 2025 as against 78,108 units in May 2024. Overall passenger vehicles sales also declined to 68,736 units from 78,838 units in May 2024, a drop of 12.8%. Similarly in the April-May period MSIL’s total sales rose to 359,868 units, as against 342,640 units in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
