Biznextindia : Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday unveiled its lagship sports utility vehicle (SUV), The Grand Vitara. Featuring NEXA’s signature design language– Crafted Futurism, the premium SUV features a distinct exterior design, sophisticated interiors, segment-leading features and an industry redefining fuelefficiency powered by its revolutionary Hybrid Powertrains.
The Grand Vitara will be offered in 6 monotone color options and 3 Dual-tone color options. This mid-size SUV will be based on the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, etc.
The SUV will be offered with two engine options in India. It will get a 1.5-litre petrol engine with strong hybrid tech, paired with an e-CVT. This will be the same powertrain that will do its duty in the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder as well. It produces 91 bhp & 122 Nm while the electric motor develops 79 bhp & 141 Nm.
