JSW Group steel output up 28% to 5.35 MT in Q3FY22

Biznextindia : Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel on Tuesday reported a 28 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in group combined steel production at 5.35 million tonnes (MT) during the October-December quarter of 2021-22(Q3FY22) as against 4.18 MT in the corresponding quarter of 2020-21 (Q3FY21).

JSW Steel standalone steel production grew by 8% YoY to 4.41 MT, as against 4.08 MT in Q3 of FY21.

“JSW Steel reported group combined crude steel production at 5.35 million tonnes for Q3 FY’22, including the production at jointly controlled entity viz. JSW Ispat Special Products Ltd. (JISPL) During Q3’22, the capacity utilisation of existing operations at standalone level was at 94%. Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd.’s production for Q3’22 was lower mainly due to shutdown of Continuous Strip Plant for 10 days for upgrading automation” the company said in a regulatory filing.
