JSPL reports highest ever quarterly steel production at 1.51 MnT

New Delhi : Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), a part of the USD 22 billion diversified O. P. Jindal Group reports its highest ever domestic quarterly steel production and sales in Q4 of FY19. The company registered a record crude steel production of 1.51 MnT (Million Tonnes) and robust sales of 1.45 MnT during the quarter January– March 2019. The quarterly steel production saw a 23% growth during Q4 FY 2019, while the quarterly steel sales record a rise of 21% on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The quarterly production and sales in Q4 of previous fiscal stood at 1.26 MnT and 1.18 MT respectively.

 “In the fourth quarter, we continued the momentum. With the ramp up in production at Angul, we are confident of further accelerating the growth momentum, both in production and sales” Naushad Akhter Ansari, Joint Managing Director, JSPL said.
