Noida : Inox Wind, India’s leading wind energy solutions provider, has won a 150MW wind power project from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL). NTPC REL is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NTPC GEL), which is the RE business vertical of NTPC Limited. The project will be executed in the state of Gujarat. This is the second order from NTPC REL to Inox Wind in the past two months. In April 2023, Inox Wind was awarded a 100MW wind power project from NTPC REL. With these two orders, the total orders from NTPC to Inox Wind now stands at 550MW. Mr. Kailash Tarachandani, CEO of Inox Wind, expressed his gratitude towards NTPC REL for awarding the project to Inox Wind. He said, “We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious project by NTPC REL. This is a testament to our strong track record in the wind energy sector. We are committed to delivering this project on time and within budget.”
Mr. Tarachandani also expressed the company’s aspiration to cultivate a long-term partnership with NTPC, serving as their trusted supplier and contributing towards realization of their ambitious renewable energy goals.
‘As part of the order, Inox Wind will supply and install existing and new technology state of the art Wind Turbine Generators. Additionally, as part of the agreement, Inox Wind will be responsible for operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the project. This addition will contribute to the expansion of Inox Wind’s O&M fleet, enhancing overall profitability’, said Mr. Tarachandani. India has set ambitious targets for renewable energy, aiming to reach 175 GW by 2022 and 450 GW by 2030. To support these objectives, the government has launched initiatives like ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ In this favorable environment, Inox Wind is strategically positioned to thrive and contribute significantly to India’s renewable energy goals.
