Biznextindia : IT services giant Infosys has laid off 240 entry-level employees after they failed to clear internal assessments, according to a report by Moneycontrol.com based on company emails dated April 18. This development comes just months after a similar move in February, when over 300 trainees were let go under comparable circumstances.
To support those affected, Infosys is offering free upskilling opportunities through platforms such as NIIT and UpGrad, the report noted.
These layoffs come amid a sluggish demand environment for IT services. During its fiscal Q4 earnings announcement on Thursday, Infosys revised its FY26 revenue growth forecast in constant currency terms to 0–3%, down from the 4.5–5% projected in the previous quarter.
