Escort’s domestic Tractor Sales up 90% in December

Faridabad: Escorts Ltd Agri Machinery Segment (EAM) has reported impressive performance in December with its domestic tractor sales almost doubled to 7230 units from 3806 units in December 2019. The company’s exports has also increased by 63% to 503 units from 308 units in December 2019. The company’s overall sales has increased by 88% to 7733 units from 4114 units in December 2019.

“Post Lockdown, this is the first month where we could supply as per demand of customers, some of whom waited long to get their preferred tractor brand. Going forward all macroeconomic factors remain in favour of continued growth and we do not expect any significant supply-demand gaps. Rising Inflation, however, continues to be a worry” the company said.

The company has reported 12.3 % growth in its cumulative domestic sales in the April-December period to 70918 units 63,130 during the corresponding period of FY20. With this, overall sales has grown by 12.5% to 74,153 units 65,910 during the corresponding period of FY20
