Faridabad: After Hero Motocorp, Maruti Suzuki another automobile company escorts has announced temporary and selective closure of its manufacturing operations across this weekend. The company has taken this decision as a precautionary measure in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“At Escorts, safety and health of our employees, and wellness of our business ecosystem is of utmost importance. Considering COVID-19 spread escalation, as a precautionary measure, we will be temporarily shutting down our manufacturing operations, on selective basis, between 1st May 2021 and 3rd May 2021” the company has informed the stock markets.
“There will be no impact on fulfilling customer demand because of this as Company has sufficient inventory at hand. The shutdown period shall be utilized for routine plant maintenance with employees in essential services present on rotational basis” it added.
