Biznextindia : Escorts Ltd Agri Machinery Segment (EAM) has achieved highest ever March sales of 12,337 tractors, registering a growth of 126.6 percent indicating sharp rebound of domestic demand. In March 2020, the company had sold 5,444 tractors.
Escorts has reported 124.4 per cent growth in domestic tractor sales at 11,730 tractors against 5,228 tractors in March 2020.
“The tractor demand is expected to continue to be strong led by higher Rabi output, favourable crop prices, and initial positive forecast of 2021 monsoon season, all supporting rural customer sentiments. The rising inflation however continues to be a worry”
The company’s tractor sales in March also grew by 181 per cent to 607 against 216 tractors in March 2020.
Meanwhile, in FY 21, the company has reported a sales growth of 24 per cent to 106,741 tractors against 86,018 tractors in FY 20. It’s domestic sales grew by 23.8 per cent to 101,848 as against 82252 tractors in FY20.
