Bajaj Auto reports 24% rise in June sales on robust Exports

Biznext india : Bajaj Auto, India’s largest seller of three-wheeler vehicles and second largest seller of two-wheeler vehicles has registered 24 percent growth in its June’21 sales at 346,136 units against 278,097 units in June’20. Overall, domestic sales grew by 7 percent to 161,836 and exports grew by 45 percent to 184,300 units.

On monthly basis, the sales increased by 27 percent from 271862 units in May’21. Domestic sales, however, dropped by 10 percent from 180212 units.

The company has registered 22 per cent growth in two-wheeler sales at 310,578  as against 255,122 units in June’20. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 6 per cent to 155,640, while exports up 43percent to 154,938 units.

Meanwhile, after registering continuous drop for consecutive months, Bajaj Auto has registered improvement in its commercial vehicle sales in the month of June’21. The company’s overall commercial vehicle sales grew by 55 percent to 35558 units due to robust export sales. While, domestic sales grew by 38 percent to 6196 units, exports grew by 59 percent to 29,362 units. Bajaj’s range of commercial vehicles are mostly comprises of three-wheeler vehicles like auto rickshaws, light pick-ups.

During the April-June quarter, Bajaj Auto has registered 127 percent rise in overall sales to one million units.
