New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Purvanchal Expressway at Karwal Kheri in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The 340.8-km-long six-lane highway will be inaugurated at around 1:30 pm, according to an government statement.
After the inauguration, Modi will witness an air show by the Indian Air Force (IAF) on the 3.2 km long airstrip constructed on the expressway to enable landing and take-off of IAF fighter planes in case of emergency. The expressway is a part of India’s plan on convergence of military-civilian infrastructures.
