India’s COVID-19 Tally rises to 3.66 lakh, Death toll crosses 12000

Bhubaneswar: After registering more than 2000 deaths on Tuesday, India has reported a lesser number of deaths of 334 on Wednesday taking the toll to 12237.

As per the latest data released by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India’s total COVID-19 cases rose to 366946 by Saturday morning. The total number includes 160384 active cases and 12237 deaths while 194325 people have been recovered from the viral infection.

As many as 7391 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours taking the recovery rate to 53 per cent.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,65,412 samples were tested in the last 24 hours out of which nearly 10 thousand samples were found to be positive. With this, the country has tested total 62,49,668 samples till 18th of June with a positivity rate of 5.8 per cent, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.
