PM Modi to address public gathering in Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi  is slated to arrive  here in a one day visit to the state. He’ll address a public gathering in the foothills of Barunei, the site of Paika Vidroha, the armed uprising of peasants against the British East India Company in 1817.

He will also dedicate or lay foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 14.5 K Crore, including projects in the sectors of education, national highways, culture and labour.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said at a Media Meet held here on 20 December that the Prime Minister will dedicate the new IIT campus in Bhubaneswar, and lay the foundation stone for Indian Institute of Science and Research (IISER) in Berhampur among other activities during his visit.
