New Delhi : Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to present her first Budget of new government at 11 am today. It’ll be the first budget of the Modi government after returning to power with a bigger mandate. Sitharaman will be making history as she will be the first full-time woman finance minister in India to present the Budget.
Budget may include steps to make India a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2025. Yesterday, Ms Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey which has predicted that India will grow at 7% in the current financial year and the country needs to grow at 8% annually to become a USD 5 trillion economy by 2025.
