Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government controlled miner Odisha Mining Corporation on Friday announced that it’ll sell its 30% Bauxite stock to End –user industries through a national level e-auction. For participation in this e-auction, the PSU has asked the end user industries to register with MSTC, a government of India owned e-auction platform. The interested buyers can also contact directly to the OMC office for registration. However, no traders will be allowed to participate in the e-auction.

Bauxite is the primary raw material used for making Aluminium. The move by OMC to sell Bauxite will benefit end-user industries like Vedanta, who are facing troubles in sourcing the raw material due to non availability of captive mine.
