JSW July crude steel production up 8%  to 13.78 MT

Bhubaneswar: JSW Steel, part of the diversified US$ 13 billion JSW Group, reports 8% rise in Crude Steel production at 13. 78 lakh tonnes for July 2018, over corresponding month of previous year. In July 2017 the company had produced 12.78 million tonnes of Crude steel.

Of the total 13.78 MT, production of flat-rolled products increased by 1% to 9.86 MT from 9.74 MT in July 2017 and production of Rolled products (long) increased by 41% to 3.06 MT from 2.17 MT in July 2017.

The Company reported crude steel production for the April-June quarter at 4.11 million tonnes, up 5% YoY, driven by higher utilisation at all locations.
