Maruti-Suzuki April sales drop 17%

New Delhi:  Despite 14% growth in exports, India’s top carmaker Maruti Suzuki India has reported 17% decline in its April 2019 sales at 143.245 units as compared to 172,986 units in April 2918. The drop in Monthly sales is being attributed to 18.7% fall in domestic sales to 134,068 units. The company had sold 164,978 units in the domestic market in April 2018. The company’s export during the month has increased by 14% to 9177 units. In the recently concluded 2018-19 financial year, Maruti-Suzuki has sold total 1, 862, 44 units, which includes 1,753,700 units in the domestic market and 108,749 units of export.
