Reliance Jio accumulates 42% market share in Odisha in terms of Gross Revenue: TRAI Report

BiznextIndia : Mukesh Ambani controlled  Reliance Jio has further extended its leadership in revenue market share in Odisha for the quarter ending March 2019, as per the recently published financial report for the sector released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

While Reliance Jio has already accumulated over 50% market share of the adjusted gross revenue across the sector in Odisha, it also remains the market leader in gross revenue with the highest 42.4% market share in the state, leaving all other service providers way behind, reveals the report.

As per the report, Reliance Jio achieved a gross revenue of Rs. 403.19 crores in the quarter spanning from Jan-March 2019, followed by Bharti Airtel with Rs. 357.44 crores, Vodafone Idea with 121.9 crores, BSNL with 60.05 crores and Tata Teleservices with 9.22 crores.

It is worth mentioning that Jio has been the most preferred mobile service provider in the state adding highest number of new subscribers consecutively over several months. As per the latest subscriber data released by TRAI, Reliance Jio alone added 3.97 lakh subscribers in March 2019, outperforming all other services providers at a time when the overall mobile subscriber base in the state decreased by 8.28 lakhs in the same month.
