JSW reports 8% rise in October Crude steel output

Bhubaneswar: JSW Steel, part of the diversified US$ 13 billion JSW Group, reports 8% rise in Crude Steel production at 14. 47 lakh tonnes for October 2018, over October 2017. In October 2017 the company had produced 13.43 million tonnes of Crude steel.

Of the total 14.47 MT, production of flat-rolled products increased by 3% to 10.11 MT from 9.77 MT in October 2017 and production of Rolled products (long) increased by 34% to 3.46 MT from 2.58 MT in October 2017.

Sajjan Jindal controlled JSW Steel is the leading integrated steel company in India with an installed steel-making capacity of 18 MTPA in India. JSW Steel’s plant at Vijayanagar in Karnataka is the largest single location steel producing facility in the country with a capacity of 12 MTPA.
